Behind the Code

When I was young, becoming a Web Developer never crossed my mind. Instead, my first dream was to become a pilot. I was amazed by how incredible it would be to have a job where I could fly and travel the world. But as time went on, reality hit me, and the dream of becoming a pilot slowly faded. That’s when I pursued another passion becoming a traditional artist. My new dream was to create masterpieces like the ones displayed in museums. However, harsh reality proved that not everything we desire can be easily achieved. I was sad knowing that I was so close yet so far from reaching this dream. But life goes on, and we must keep moving forward. In 2022, I was unexpectedly enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) program with a specialization in NETAD. At first, I felt out of place my knowledge and skills didn’t seem to align with the course, and I even considered giving up to find work instead. But during that year, in one particular class where we had to code a project website, I discovered something surprising I was having fun. I realized that I could apply all the skills and knowledge I had gained over the years. That was the turning point the moment I started to love designing and became inspired to pursue a career as a frontend developer.
